Wind Turbine Generator Set Case Study on Cloud-based Centralized Control, Data Acquisition and Monitoring (IEC104 Protocol)

一、Project background and requirements

The project is located in Kailu County, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is a wind power project of Goldwind Technology. The data of 4 wind turbines , including wind turbines 1 and 2 in Minzhu Village, wind turbine 3 in Yangxiufeng Village, and wind turbine 4 in Hongsheng Village, Kailu County, Tongliao City, need to be monitored on the cloud . The data of each wind turbine in the project has been integrated into the centralized control server and output to the outside in the IEC104 protocol. While the data of wind turbines is displayed in the original project centralized control center, it can be monitored and viewed on the palm of your hand to achieve the monitoring requirements of wind turbine operation status and data collection on the cloud.

Project requirements: It is necessary to collect IEC104 protocol data of 4 sets of units and display them on the cloud platform.

2. Wind turbine data collection

Four groups of wind turbines are distributed on three centralized control servers, and the point table information is collected and analyzed according to the IEC104 protocol.

2.2 Data collection implementation process

Collect the IEC104 protocol data of the unit and upload it to the cloud via 4G wireless. The collection products used are our company's communication management machine with general management software for collection. The hardware products include: communication host, power adapter, 4G suction cup antenna, etc.

The data channel between the centralized control server and the communication management machine is connected on site through a wired network port. According to the data point table information and server IP address information, the data is collected using the supporting general management software.

The remote debugging configuration software implements the point table collection test, realizes local data collection, successfully collects the wind turbine unit data, and verifies the data correctness. Regarding the wind turbine operating status, the analog value (0-9) represents the conversion of the actual operating status (8 operating states) of the wind turbine generator set. After the conversion is successful, it is configured to be displayed on the cloud platform (simultaneously displayed on the mobile phone APP).
